Detailed NarrativeReturning from Fairbreeze through Treemarket, the party finds Captain March's garrison has been attacked by armed half-elves and dwarves equipped by an unknown benefactor with magical weapons and inside information about GRE troop dispositions. March, newly appointed and deeply racist toward non-humans, tries to recruit the party but dismisses them once he determines their mixed allegiances. Ja'ayne receives a strong premonition that Lightwatch is in immediate danger and the party rushes south. Near Lightwatch they spot a Darkmoon raiding force approaching along the coast. Ja'ayne leads the party to a specific farm where attackers have pinned a family in a barn — mirroring what happened to her, triggering a Brightborn divine rush (+6 Str/Con/Dex, +10 speed, fast healing 4). With March's forces added, the battle is decisively in the party's favor. The Darkmoon force is led by the sorcerer Yolich, who attempts to teleport away. A coded letter on the attackers reveals they were working with a Kesselands informant who wanted Captain Williams removed for his GRE ties. Back at the tavern, March arrests four misbehaving GRE soldiers and publicly sets a new disciplinary standard, referencing 'Captain Harrison' as the new command.
