Detailed NarrativeFour months have passed since the raid on Lightwatch. The party has patrolled the region, become famous, and GRE forces under March have fully withdrawn. Commander Harrison at Eastguard has pulled most forces back from Bosh Arla. Tessa Cinderforce, a Blazing Hood dwarf, arrives seeking to catalogue Ja'ayne's visions, believing she's identified the historical moment they reference. She is interested in accompanying the group. Richie introduces the party to 'Angry Charlie' at the Rocky Bottom Tavern in Midmark — a recruiter for The Card Game, a militant resistance group that operates as a compartmentalized gambling-ring cover. Members are identified by playing cards from the regional game Dragon's Draw. Meanwhile, Groktal, an orc champion from the Blackblade Tribe, leads a warband that has seized Midmark and challenges the Hench brothers (and Steve) to combat. The combat for supremacy takes place in Midmark; Groktal is half-orc, half-troll. Samantha sends word that an adventurer group (Harvey Two-Fingers, Blackeye, Stormcowl) working for Solomon has stolen a Hesh relic from Shadebarrow and is hiding at Bloodwater Fort near Eastguard, planning to sell it to a Darkmoon summoner named Vikus.
