Detailed NarrativeThe runecrystal activates the Forge of Bourdain. A group of 17 outsiders including catfolk (led by Tarshuk) arrive in Lightwatch, rescued by Darksprocket — a chaotic gnome follower of Rysen who insists the old gods are returning. Darksprocket is simultaneously convinced the world hates and secretly idolizes him. The outsiders seek asylum. Killian Grey (now called the 'Winter Soldier') is causing havoc in the GRE countryside after escaping Loresh. Solomon/Adair finance the kingdom; Dragon Knights and Cassius School operate independently within Lightwatch; Fedist and the GRE are expanding and consolidating the north. The Hench brothers are attacking GRE supporters and burning convoys. Frost Giants (Tarkfaust, Grizgarl, Brinemoss, and the Jarl) from Arla's Flaming Spear tribes attack Roundhill Farm, enslaving able-bodied men. At Breezewood Farm, Selena — a vampire and Moon Coven member for Darkmoon — has 'convinced' 20 townsfolk to side with her protection, actually turning them into spawn to harvest for the Moon Coven. Marshal Adair seeks a formal alliance with Lightwatch, offering Macklot intelligence in exchange for anti-Darkmoon cooperation. The haunt of the Greycaller Manor returns, possessing Amy Farseer, coming after Steve who killed her previously. The haunt will keep possessing people until banished or the stolen books are returned.
