Detailed NarrativeNow h-year 153. The full situation: Macklot is marching on the GRE; Peter and the GRE are fighting the Darkmoon Tribe; Yolich has retreated to Hench brother territory; the party is crafting and governing Lightwatch. Ren travels to Trayalon disguised as Marshal Adair using a teleportation coin and meets Seamus Adair (Solomon) at A Place to Drink. Solomon reveals he is still manipulating the conflict for profit, delaying Peter from marching east while maintaining black market deals with both sides. 'The darkmoon leadership has been more and more difficult to contact. I think it's about time we stop including Macklot in our future plans.' The Red Witch arrives and offers a child (Tessa) for the soul transfer to resurrect the Loresh spectres' daughter. In return she binds the party with a blood oath for a future favor. Nyx, goddess of death, appears to Ren: 'Ren Sawada — you've stolen something that belongs to me. My servants are quite upset and I believe you've accidentally allowed them passage back into this world.' Demons subsequently hunt Ren for the escaped soul. Macklot communicates with Steve through a commune, again offering the Gift of Honor (smite evil as 20th level paladin), urging him to choose before it is too late. Retholas asks Ren and Barton to formally declare against the Blazing Hood and establish a catfolk-specific sanctuary in Lightwatch. A ritual to create a chasm separating Lightwatch lands is attempted with Yolich's help; the spell draws power from the latent energy of the world, draining non-Hesh magic items within 1 mile for 4 rounds. The ground tears open, flooding with Aurean sea water. During the sundering, bound magical entities (Steward of the Skein, the First Blade, Arcanotheign) are freed and attack.
