Detailed NarrativeStarfall is near its peak in terms of territorial and economic power. Gatester is a province, Mellowbank absorbed, Twinport being recruited by Alam. Harlow researches relics. Anton fights Gorefist's forces in the east. Grakkar and his remaining warriors fight alongside. The party seeks the Relic of Shadows held by Faust. The relic requires a moral test to claim: a modest farmhouse on the fringe of settled territory north of the Rush river is the scene. The family β Henry and Alice with their children β lives there in ordinary happiness, planning to stay. Semi-transparent shadowy enforcers appear: silent, weaponry phasing in and out of reality, aura of cold and fear. The enforcers inform the party that the card (the Relic of Shadows) only belongs to those who can wield it without conscience. The test: kill or allow the death of the family. The guardians warn that if a holder has remorse, the relic drives them to madness. If the party agrees and kills the family, the card is delivered. If they refuse or flee, the enforcers execute the test themselves and the card disappears forever. The party can also attempt to defeat the guardians (they can be temporarily dispersed but not permanently destroyed). Griva receives the Relic of Shadows (the Card) β presumably the party passes the test. After retrieving the relic, word arrives that Gorefist has launched simultaneous raids on multiple territories: Mellowbank, Tarton, and Starfall's eastern farms. The party must choose which to defend, saving some people but losing others.
SummaryThe party seeks the Relic of Shadows β held by Faust β and must undergo a dark moral test administered by shadowy enforcers: kill (or allow to die) an innocent farming family to claim the relic. Immediately after the relic is retrieved, Gorefist launches coordinated raids on multiple Starfall territories simultaneously. The party must choose which town to defend, losing the others. Alam Sildwell recruits Twinport for Starfall. The campaign's final arc begins.
