Morgana was a leader of the Cassius family. She was obsessed with immortality from a young age due largely to her family being assassinated when she was young. When Morgana was 14, a power grab resulted in the deaths of her mother, father, brothers and sisters, leaving her as the head of the house. During the attack, rival wizards used fireball and related fire spells to destroy her family. As a direct result, Morgana suffered severe anxiety and became paranoid about protecting herself and her allies from magical attacks. This paranoia grew stronger over time as Morgana rose in power, to the point of eventual absurdity. In her later stages of power, Morgana had taken steps to become particularly resistant to magic and nearly immune to energy attacks.
