A great warrior adventurer, the man who would become the Blue Reaper met his death while exploring ruins in the frozen hills at the northern reaches of the world in search of a legendary rune crystal sword. The sword was guarded by a world warden, and the battle proved too much for the great warrior. During his final moments, it was the man's misplaced faith in his dead deity Helmar the Mighty that attracted the attention of Nyx. Nyx made the hero an offer: explaining that his god was dead and could not help him with this fate, Nyx would assist him and help him become the greatest warrior the world had ever seen. In return, all he had to do was become an instrument of truth, and bring death to those who still believed in the old fallen gods. Seeing little choice, the hero accepted the bargain and Nyx helped him defeat the world warden and reclaim the sword.
